This is from the part in the movie when Folken has just tried to lure Hitomi into his clutches using some sort of astrel-projection or something. Van comes up and stops Hitomi from going to Folken, at which point Folken's apparition disappears. Back at Folken's fortress, Folken's on the floor in a lot of pain--apparently making another version of yourself burns up quite a bit of energy. He looks up, saying, "Van, why must you take everything from me?" Someone's a little bitter.

Anyway, the cel itself is in excellent condition. It's one of those rare moments when getting a cel later in the sequence is definately better, because you can't see his eyes in the earlier cels. Sadly, no sketch, so if you ever see the A16 sketch for this sequence, let me know!!

Now, about a year after I first put this cel up, I finally have a good image of it. Tex-chan, knowing how incredibly busy I've been with school lately (honestly, my poor gallery's been so neglected ;_;) took the time out of her own busy life to fix up my image for me--something that my feeble manipulation skills would never be able to accomplish. Previously, I had tried numerous times to get a good scan of this cel, but sadly, nothing seemed to work. It always came up with streaks through his hair on both sides. But all was not lost! Tex used her computer black magic to make the streaks disappear. Give her hugs for me. ^_^
